Jaron Lanier is very clear about his fear that genuine creative thought could vanish as the shadow of the Web 2.0 world grows larger, however, Richard Miller calls our attention towards the potential benefits that we could reap if we are prepared to sort through the trash, in order to discover the treasure that might not be within our immediate view.

What are some notable examples from both camps that you think that we, as a class, should be looking at and considering?
