As the demand of technology increases, it seems as if the supply of counterfeit products on the market increase as well. I found this article which discusses the issue of counterfeit Apple products, and the many online stores and in this case retail stores that are profiting from it. It is evident that an exact replica cannot be made of these products yet people seem to not care and are buying them anyway. There is even an example of how some people prefer a counterfeit iPhone for the reason that it comes with a replaceable battery that the original iPhone doesn’t feature. Although I would like a replaceable battery on the iPhone, as I am an apple user myself, I do not see how so many people are actually buying counterfeit apple products. It is clearly evident that the fakes are indeed fakes, so why go through the trouble to buy a fake phone instead of waiting, saving money and buying the real thing?
